Your Fancard is accepted almost everywhere you wish to travel, including abroad! In fact, many Fancard users utilize their Fancard as a way to budget when they are on vacation or traveling.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, many places, such as hotels and rental car agencies, place holds on your Fancard that will limit your ability to use those funds until the transaction is complete (i.e., the rental car is returned, or you check out of your hotel room).
Once the transaction is complete (which can be a day or two afterward), your funds will be released and the actual transaction amount will post to your Fancard account.
Please note: In order to use your Fancard when booking a hotel or rental car, you may need a balance on your Fancard that exceeds the total of the booking. Many agencies and companies place holds higher than the total purchase price just in case there are additional charges that need to be made later.
